Legendary comedic actor John Witherspoon, best known for his iconic role on the Friday series,  has died .

Witherspoon began his stand up career in the 70’s. Witherspoon biggest television role came when he played the father to Shawn and Marlon Wayans  on the WB sitcom The Wayans Brothers.
