Frankie Beverly Lead Singer of Maze Has Passed Away

Frankie Beverly has passed away. The family of Beverly released a statement via Instagram announcing his passing.

Beverly is a singer, songwriter, and producer who is known for his work with the soul and funk band Maze. Beverly formed Maze in 1970, originally calling the band Raw Soul. Beverly was the band’s lead vocalist and relocated to San Francisco in 1971. Beverly is known for hits such as “Before I let go” and “We are One.”

Beverly announced his retirement in February of this year.

Frankie Beverly is one of my favorite artists. My condolences to his family and friends.
