Karen Huger was back in a Montgomery County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Feb. 26, where she was officially sentenced to two years in prison, with one year suspended, for drunk driving.

The Real Housewives of Potomac star, 61, — dressed in all black and with her husband of 28 years, Ray, by her side — will have to serve five years probation. She has 30 days to appeal the judge’s decision, and 90 days to ask the judge to reconsider his order.

Karen crashed her car last March near Bethesda, Maryland after she crossed a median and struck street signs. The 61-year-old was charged with driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol; driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol; negligent driving of a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life and person; and reckless driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for safety of persons and property and several other related charges, according to Maryland Judiciary records obtained by E! News.

While taken into custody, Huger told Ray, “You will be alright” and that “God’s got you,” This is sad and I hope she gets the much needed help around her addiction.
