Awards season has officially begun! Today the 2017 nominees for the Golden Globes were announced.
Golden Globe winners Don Cheadle and Laura Dern and Golden Globe nominee Anna Kendrick announced the film and TV contenders Monday morning from The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, the site of the annual awards show. (Watch video of the announcement here.)
La La Land leads the film nominees with a total of seven mentions, followed by Moonlight with six. On the TV side, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story tops with five, followed by The Night Manager with four.
The 74th Golden Globe Awards, which are voted on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will be hosted by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and will air live on both coasts Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 on NBC.
