The MET Gala is a who’s who of fashion decked out in the most beautiful elaborate fashion custom made costure pieces imaginable. It is one of my favorite events to cover. The 2017 Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 1 celebrated the work of designer Rei Kawakubo, 74, and Comme des Garçons, and the celeb set brought out a slew of avant-garde looks to support the theme, “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.” Our fave celebs paid homage to the Japanese designer with their high-fashion frocks as they arrived on the red carpet for this year’s Met Gala — and they made a grand entrance!
