Andre Harrell founder of Uptown Records has reportedly passed away. During a live set tonight at “Club Quaratine.”  DJ D-Nice announced that the hip hop impresario  passed away. Harrell was the founder of the record label Uptown Records.  He is credited with discovering, Mary J. Blige. Signing acts such as Jodeci, Heavy D, Jeff Redd and more. Harrell was also a Hollywood Producer, known for (Honey), (Strictly Business), and (New York Undercover). Harrell is perhaps known as the one that famously fired Sean Puffy Combs and help turn him into a music mogul. This is heartbreaking. Prayers for his family and friends.
