Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out on the red carpet last night for the 2021 Salute to Freedom gala in New York—with the Duchess of Sussex dazzling in a spectacular red gown.
The stunning red dress was by American designer Carolina Herrera. The dressed featured a V-neck and a double skirt (one of which encapsulates a flowing train.) A big bow at the back of the dress added a whimsical element to the rest of the look.
The Duchess of Sussex styled the stunning and sexy dress with silver bracelets, silver earrings, and dark red slingback heels. Markle wore her hair in a sleek high bun and for makeup did a nude pink lip, rosy red cheeks to match the dress, and a subtle smoky eye. Markle’s husband, Prince Harry, was also in attendance.
The couple was at the Wednesday night ceremony at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum not just as honored guests, but with a special role to play: Harry is set to present the Intrepid Valor Award to five service members, veterans, and military families living with the invisible wounds of war.
The couple didn’t just look dazzling — they continued to charm when stopping to chat with reporters on the red carpet. When asked by a Reuters reporter (via Twitter) whether she was proud of her husband, Meghan responded: “I’m always proud of him.”
