Nick Cannon confirmed Monday he was expecting his eighth child, weeks after mourning the loss of his 5-month-old son, Zen, who died of a brain tumor.
The TV personality confirmed the news on his talk show, “The Nick Cannon Show,” after photos of the baby’s gender-reveal party were shared on social media. In the photos, posted Saturday, Cannon is wearing all white as he hugs Tiesi, 30, who is also donning white.
“It’s a boy! We found out yesterday,” Cannon said to his studio audience.
The host also joked that he was “starting his own football team,” referencing that he has seven children with four women.
During Monday’s show, Cannon said he found out about Tiesi’s pregnancy before Zen’s death.
Cannon said he wanted to respect Scott’s grieving process and that Tiesi had been very supportive in waiting on the announcement.
On Monday, hours after Cannon’s announcement, Scott shared an emotional Instagram post, thanking supporters for their well-wishes.
“I am centered, I am at peace,” she said in a statement. “I look at everyone’s predicament with loving eyes. I will not judge. I will consciously decide what I will participate in. I am surrounded by love. God, my mom, dad, sister, brother, and daughter continue to carry me.”
This is not a good look for Nick Cannon. This is embarrassing. I hope he take some time to get his life in order because this is a mess.
