Lisa Bonet finally speaks out about Bill Cosby: “Always had a Sinister Shadow Energy”

Actress Lisa Bonet has remained silent in the wake of dozens of sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby , who played her television father in “The Cosby Show” and “A Different World.”

However she has decided to open up and share her thoughts.

In a story for Net-a-Porter, Bonet said she had no prior knowledge of Cosby’s alleged behavior, but added that the comedian emitted some seriously negative vibes when she worked with him.

“There was just energy,” the actress said. “And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed.”

When asked specifically if she “sensed darkness” from Cosby, Bonet said,“Always.”

Cosby, 80, and Bonet, 50, were rumored to have a bad professional relationship, and a 1986 interview Bonet did with David Letterman didn’t alleviate suspicions. When Letterman asked the then-19-year-old Bonet why she would want to leave the popular sitcom “The Cosby Show” for its spinoff, “A Different World,” the actress responded with: “They told me to?”

Bonet was reportedly booted from the series in 1991 after Cosby was upset by an explicit sex scene she did in the 1987 film “Angel Heart” alongside Mickey Rourke. Later, Bonet abruptly ended her run on “A Different World” upon learning she was pregnant with her first child with then husband Lenny Kravitz.

“I don’t need to say, ‘I told you so’,” she told interviewer Sanjiv Bhattacharya. “I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be.”

    1. @Jennifer G it is a difficult conversation but it is interesting that as a teen she knew something was not quite right about him.
