Kirk Franklin has issued an apology after an expletive-filled phone call with his estranged son went viral online.
The 51-year-old gospel singer took to social media on Saturday (March 13) to share a video of himself expressing regret over a scornful phone conversation with his son Kerrion Franklin. During the heated call, which Kerrion leaked on Instagram, the Grammy-winner is allegedly heard yelling that he’d “put my foot in your a–” and “break your neck” if he was ever disrespected. This is a sad situation. Hopefully, they can work this out.
In his minute-long apology, Franklin — whose name was trending Sunday on Twitter — explained that he’s had a “toxic” relationship with his 32-year-old son over the years and that he’s attempted to remedy their problems through counseling and therapy.
